Mmmmm, so where am I going to get a teapot from if I remove GLUT?! It looks like SDL and SDL_mixer could provide some nice functionality to Doris. I'm not sure about sticking with GLUI though. I mean, if you want a game prototyping system you don't really want to use GLUI. It might be useful for development, but perhaps not for the game. It would certainly cut down on the amount of work to do porting of GLUT. I'm in two minds whether to create a Doris2 project (or another project entirely) and do totally without GLUT and GLUI, but still having GL to do the rendering, leaving Doris (1) as it is.
