Hmm, yeah, I looked in my archives, and you were generally okay with 
SDL, I must have mixed that up with something else you were opposed to 
because of size issues?

Ahhhh...yeah, if you want to go 3D, that would be nice to integrate.  

In the short run, I'd say that SDL support is by far the biggest step.
