So this Komodo IDE is fairly nice.  The personal edition is only $30 
as well.  Just thought I'd mention it.  I think Python is probably 
better for large scale application development, but I'm still not sure 
if I'm up to learning a whole new language _again_...

I think you were waiting on me for something with GLUI, but I can't 
recall what it was?
