Hi there, in a shool I work at I want to set up 2
webcams f the same type, and a usb video box which
also uses Microsofts WDM Image Capture Devicedriver.

Is it possible to use multiple cameras that all work with
Microsoft WDM Image Capture?
Since at home I have two cameras which have different
Videodevice drivers, it works fine, but here the only
program i could get to work was TinCam, and its not
nearly as good and stable as Dorgem (in my oppinion.

When Dorgem starts up at Windows, the Device-
Selection box pops up, and even if I choose the other
cam it will not work correctly.

This is a most likely a limitation in the VfW support for this
camera. This is one of the main reasons I want to switch to
DirectShow. When I look at the screendumps I think TinCam
    does work with DirectShow.

    Oh, I see.
Yes, they require directX 9, so it seems like it.

Too bad, I really disliked TinCam, at least on the Computer
there it runs very unstable... And in 25 days I'll have to buy it
    for the school.

Am I glad that my Intel Microscope at home has a different
VfW driver then the webcam so I can use Dorgem...

Otherwise these cheap webcams are real great, they have
rather good image quality for the low price, and a real
640x480 sensor, not those crappy ones that are interpolated
    to VGA...

If it helps any I would be willing to donate one or two of
    these webcams :-)
