Hello. I downloaded the file legacy_140_linux.tar.gz and the legacy.dat.gz Now i have a question.  I unzip (untar?) the legacy140 with tar -zxvf legay_140_linux.tar.gz at /home/myuser/legacy_140_linux and creates some files and folders.
Then i copied all the *.wad's from the windows installation of the versions of Doom.  What do i have to run the game?? Do I have to create a config or something??  I typed ./llxdoom but displays some error about BadColor(invalid ColorMap) and other errors.  Can somebody help me?? I'm kind of new in Linux :-(

Hi, sorry for the long delay... you can have a look at my answer on the above thread (sounds like a Legacy bug with recent XFree version and maybe be config file)

I have same problem with llxdoom , and have not been able to fix it in
      the source code.

Have gotten the SDL version to work.  The SDL interface code to X-windows apparently
succeeds where the llxdoom code does not.

I compile both SDL and Legacy from source code, with proper
      configuration for my machine.
