Greets, I'm running on a Thinkpad 390x with Windows 2000 SP2, 512 mb ram and 1gb swapfile. Upon unzipping and configuring the Launcher, I get the above error. I have tried moving the files to the root of the drive (first tried it unzipped on the desktop) and achieved the same results. Any suggestions?

You must have a valid IWAD file like doom.wad or doom2.wad in the legacy directory, or you need to specify where the file is located with the -IWAD command line switch.
Hope it helps.

I reinstalled legacy and the wad files that are listed here on sourceforge, and still get the error. I also tried it out with the sample .wads and it yields the same error.
