There's also an option for "MD2 Models" under Options/Video/3D Card/Development. I turned it on and it didn't do anything (probably because I don't know where to put the MD2 models).

While looking thorugh the legacy source code I noticed that there were a bunch of tags taht said md2 support. Does legacy suppot md2 support yet????

Well there is support for md2 files but it isn't done so it doesn't work right right now.
