This appears to be new for version 1.46.
Dooble starting can cause monitor flicker,
depending on graphics card and monitor.
This behaviour is usually caused by actions
like getting a list of all available modes
for a CRTC.

If you have any idea what could cause this
in the code, I am willing to lend a hand it
getting this resolved as I realise that you
might not be suffering from this on your
computers.

Can you try testing dooble.sh -style motif?
    Do you have plugins enabled?

    -style motif does not help.
    I have no plugins installed.

Do you mind trying to use Spot-On to communicate? Or, do you have gmail?

    What about Qt version?

I don't have gmail, or any chat client.
I don't do not know anything about spot-in.
But if figure that if running xrandr does
not cause your any of monitors to flicker,
it be best if you try to locate it myself.

Does the flickering continue during use?
Can you disable the passphrase prompt and restart?

I just release a minor error in dooble.sh
(not relevant to this issue) that may affect
arguments. $* should be "$@" (with
    double-quotes), this makes sure that
arguments with whitespace are not split
    into multiple arguments.

It is only one flicker then the program
    starts. Beside that everything works
    perfectly.

The problem is caused by Qt 5.2.1.
