Is that really needed?  IIRC, that "blackboard bold" is just a
workaround because you can't write bold characters on a blackboard, so
theoretically you should use normal bold symbols when typesetting.  I
don't know how it's done in practice (i.e. in current math publications)
though.

u'\u1D538' are two characters...  Did something go wrong there?
