Thank you all for reports, research and patience. --- ** [bugs:#375] pypi docutils-python3 package** **Status:** closed-fixed **Created:** Tue Aug 20, 2019 07:13 AM UTC by Daniel **Last Updated:** Wed Jan 05, 2022 08:47 PM UTC **Owner:** nobody When searching for `docutils` with pip (I wanted to install docutils to use rst2html in my project) I got a result including `docutils-python3`. That package only exists in version `0.13`. The metadata on the pypi website is the same as for "docutils", except that `Programming Language :: Python` is only `3`. The existence of this package is confusing. Users could install it instead of the original (this) one. They'd get an outdated, unmaintained version of unknown origin. Could you ask the maintainer to remove it from pypi, or give a clear indication what the package is for and how it differs from upstream (this here)? Thank you. --- Sent from sourceforge.net because doc...@li... is subscribed to https://sourceforge.net/p/docutils/bugs/ To unsubscribe from further messages, a project admin can change settings at https://sourceforge.net/p/docutils/admin/bugs/options.
