Hi Eric/All,
what I'm currently missing is the possibility to have a collection(folder) where I can assign a template for a predefined workflow that gets executed for all files uploaded into it.
For example if I need to push a task(edit file) to a Group of people.
I would like to add the file to a folder and DocMGR to initiate a workflow for that.
Subscriptions work great for notifying users, however I need to be able to regularly initiate predefined workflows that have several stages and recipients.
Thanks for looking into it...
Regards,
Alex

I like it. I've actually been contemplating expanding/replacing the current Subscriptions piece with an "Actions" or "Triggers" piece. Basically the old subscription functionality would still be there, but we could add additional tasks to an object. Like you were saying, "assign this workflow to any object added to this collection", or something along those lines. Would also allow for easier addition of future actions.
Seems like a good thing to add to the list for 2.2.

Hi Eric,
We found that we deeply miss the functionality to add an automatic action to a workflow stage.
For example once we initiate a workflow, we would like to setup an Automatic Action/Trigger at a certain stage that for example automatically emails a user with workflow history/result
The idea is a user to receive the outcome of a workflow (approved/rejected) that is not assigned to him(has no access and no actions to perform, but still need to be notified)
Consider the following scenario. DocMGR is used for approving paid leaves for company users.
Once a user upload his request by simply adding a file to a collection.
DocMGR initiates a predefined workflow (from templates) that sends this to management for approval.
Once approved or rejected the system e-mails back the user with the result :)
Cheers

Nice, I'd really love to see it implemented. I'll be glad to help (testing/etc)
