Category: XSL Group: output: all formats Status: Pending Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Stefan Kost (ensonic) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: index generation slowness Initial Comment: gtk-doc uses the docbook style sheets to generate HTML for api docs. api docs by nature have lots of index-terms. we're having a big problem to cure the slowness of the index generation as described in [1]. In the bug-report we've tracked down the slowness quite a bit. Is there anything you can think of to speedup the index generation? This should be optimized in XSLT processor. Remember XSLT is not assembly language which can be optmized at the source level. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Stefan Kost (ensonic) Date: 2006-05-25 16:11 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=250654 Sorry, this wasn't the point. The question was, if someone sees a way to optimize this on the xslt layer? There is some work going on in libxslt to also optimize on their side: http://mail.gnome.org/archives/xslt/2006-May/msg00055.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: SourceForge Robot (sf-robot) Date: 2006-05-25 04:20 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1312539 This Tracker item was closed automatically by the system. In my experience complex grouping is better handled by Saxon, not by libxslt. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=373747&aid=1484912&group_id=21935 |
