Category: XSL Group: output: ePub >Status: Open Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Oliver K. Smith (oksmith13) Assigned to: Keith Fahlgren (abdelazer) Summary: Namespace stripping stylesheets produce partial NCX Initial Comment: Inside the archive, the file: my-epub2.xml was shamelessly copied from: http://www.docbook.org/tdg5/en/html/book.html I assume this is valid Docbook 5 since I copied it from Norman Walsh's book. The toc.ncx file does not correctly reference the index.html file. The file: my-epub.xml is the same as the file: my-epub2.xml except the book tag DOES NOT have an xmlns attribute. The toc.ncx file has a correct reference to the index.html file. I have included the script I used to get these results and and resulting files. I shamelessly adapted examples by Liza Daly. Everything I know about Docbook -> ePub I learned from her examples. Also, could you kind tell me what (free) Unix tool I should use to validate my Docbook 5 documents? Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Oliver K. Smith (oksmith13) Date: 2010-09-20 08:41 Message: I have confirmed that the fix to epub/docbook.xsl resolves the issue. I will happily test the 1.76.1 release candidate when it becomes available. I will investigate Sun MSV for Docbook 5 validation. Thanks for all your help. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Keith Fahlgren (abdelazer) Date: 2010-09-20 00:47 Message: Thank you for reporting this issue. Please confirm that the attached epub/docbook.xsl resolves the issue and plan to test the 1.76.1 release candidate when it becomes available. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Keith Fahlgren (abdelazer) Date: 2010-09-20 00:43 Message: Validation of DocBook 5.0 is covered in http://www.sagehill.net/docbookxsl/ProcesingDb5.html#Db5Validation and http://www.docbook.org/docs/howto/#validators This is actually a bug exclusively in the -NS version of the stylesheets, which are generated as part of the build process. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=373747&aid=3071521&group_id=21935 |
