Hello,

I have a document with Japanese characters interspersed
in EUC-JP format. There is a benign warning about a
character not being valid UTF-8 (which is fine since it
is EUC-JP).

I can use docbook2html and docbook2txt quite hapilly,
however docbook2pdf chokes badly.

Any thoughts, directions or environment settings?

Regards,

Matthew

Sorry, but this is not error in stylesheet, but in your toolchain.

You can try setting environment variable SP_ENCODING to
value EUC-JP. This can help. But I don't think that JadeTeX
(typesetting engine used by docbook2pdf) has CJK support. If
is better to ask such questions on
    docbook-apps@lists.oasis-open.org.
