#8 No hardcoded /tmp please

The environment variable TMPDIR is specified by POSIX,
so it should be used instead of /tmp if set. One should
really set this to $HOME/tmp or the like because the
world-writable directory /tmp can easily cause security
issues. A partial patch is applied. I haven't modify the
Perl stuff yet.
