After months of beta testing by users, the Dissect Framework project has released the production/stable version 1.1 of its framework. The latest release can be downloaded from:

The Dissect Framework project today released some sample applications. These applications are meant to demonstrate how the framework can be used in different scenarios. The samples can be downloaded from the Dissect Framework project site. The applications include among others:
- Parallel processing of more than one feed
- Delimited feed processing
The Dissect Framework has released beta 2 of its version 1.1 library. This release fixes the following problems in addition to others:
- Removed dependency of dissect.properties file
- Removed absolute file path requirements
- Improved error handling
- Automatic padding for fixed width records

The Dissect Framework project has consolidated its file releases into a single release.
Previously, the project maintained two releases for JDK 1.4.2 and JDK 1.5.0. These two releases have been combined into a single release that can be used in JDK 1.4.2 and JDK 1.5.0 environments.
The Dissect Framework project released patches to address a high priority issue described in https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1560517&group_id=170189&atid=853308 .
The patches released are:
- SF_1560517_patch_142.zip for dissect-bin-v1.1_jdk142.zip
- SF_1560517_patch_150.zip for dissect-bin-v1.1.zip
The Dissect Framework project has released Version 1.1 of its framework for JDK 1.4.2.
Prior to this the framework was compatible with only JDK 1.5. Lower versions of JDKs were not supported. With the JDK 1.4.2 compatible release, the Dissect Framework can now be used in applications running on JVMs older than 1.5. This release is just a port of the Dissect Framework Version 1.1 to JDK 1.4.2. No new features have been added or existing features modified.
The Dissect Framework project is planning to launch a user articles section. All users of the framework are urged to write in their experience about how they used the framework, how did they benefit from it, what were the problems they faced while using it, etc. More details at:

The Dissect Framework project website migrated to Joomla!, an open source content management system. More information on Joomla! can be obtained from http://www.joomla.org *.
The content management system will enable the Dissect Framework project to easily and quickly update information on the site. The new site has an improved layout and an updated documentation section.
Version 1.1 of the Dissect Framework has been released under GPL. This framework helps developers in adding data feeds quickly to existing or new Java applications.

A new look Dissect Framework website has been launched. It includes a new easy to use layout and updated content. A new JavaDoc section has been added.
