Currently when browsing a disk the view is expanded, showing all the directories and files.
That makes difficult to read the directory structure of the disk, and makes difficult to find a specific file navigating folders.
In my oppinion, the list should be contracted by default, so when you open a disk, the first thing you see is the list of folders, just as browsing the actual disk.

Hi,
I can understand your point of view, my opinion and the opinion of some other users is the total opposite.
I've added the feature that initiallay expands all directories because I want initially the complete overview. Expand all manually is too much work.
One possible solution could be: leave the behaviour as it is and add two buttons for collapse and expand all tree items.
Bye,
Stefan

I think it depends on what kind of contents you're browsing. With some mp3 or movies, it is nice to have it expanded for a fast browsing, but in my case (work backups with thousands of files in each disk) the expanded tree view means I have to scroll for hours :-)
I know this is a search function, but you don't always remember the name of a single file (for instance an image you used in a video project) and reaching its position in a disk with thousands of files becomes an annoying task.
But, as you said, some people find this feature (expanded tree views by default) to be more convenient, so making a switch for expand/collapse all would be perfect.
Although I keep thinking that the collapsed view should be the default to match better with the way that file managers display data. With the new feature it woulnd't be a problem, because you'll be able to expand all with one click.
