directkonnect - 0.1.1 fails to compile under Debian "Lenny" linux (amd64), mainly beacause of missed system headers (compiler fails to find memset, strtol, and so on).

Multiple compiler warnings make me suspect that directkonnect is not 64-bit compatible. Am i wrong? It would be nice if you make it clear in the feature list.

directKonnect is working fine on amd64, I'm actually developing on amd64. However, binary distributions such as debian or fedora usually split packages into runtime, and development packages. The development packages usually have the name appended with -dev or something similar. I'm not sure exactly which packages are missing on your system but you could start with apt-get install build-essential.

A quick google revealed the following guide: http://vivapinkfloyd.blogspot.com/2008/06/what-you-need-to-compile-software-in.html

Another tip might be apt-get build-dep kde and apt-get install libxml2-dev

Please post the failure log if you continue having problems.
