usb.h in recent kernels no longer include the typedef
urb_t.
This causes the follow error during compile :

direcpc.h:296: parse error before "urb_t"

and cause it to fail (after many other cascading errors).

    - this occurs with RedHat 9.0. There are other compile
    errors there too

    Hello,
Has anyone discovered a 'workaround' for this particular
    problem?
    Best regards,

    That goes for devrequest also.

Does anyone have a proper fix to make the driver work with
    the new usb framework?

It being broken since may isnt the best sign though.

I would spend the time to fix it, but Ill just use the
helius drivers . I just thought it would be nice to move
away from the helius platform though.

I just tried building the driver on a RedHat Linux 9 2.4.20
kernel, and I was not able to build it either -- looks like some
similar issues, but with the USB code...

I kept getting errors like this:

dpc_usb.c:396: parse error before '*' token
    dpc_usb.c:397: warning: function declaration isn't a prototype
    dpc_usb.c: In function `dpc_wait_status_bits':
    make: *** [dpc_usb.o] Error 1

I'd love to get this working and dump my Windows router
    (yeah, seriously) off a cliff...

This is old news. Usable kernel versions (i.e. older) are
listed in this forum. The default kernel shipped with RH8.0
    works - for example.

There are probably two work arounds. The first is to setup
your system with a distribution version that includes a usable
kernal - RH8.0 is one example. The other is to surf (via
Google) the Usenet for messages about the changes to the
USB interface and then try to make the required updates
yourself. If you go that way. let me know how it goes. I
    started and gave up.

Fixed. 1.1.4 compiles on kernels up to 2.4.22.
