Hello. Not sure if this is the right place to send this, but havent found anywhere else that was active. I am in the process of upgrading from Z39.50 to DiGIR, having some install problems that I cant seem to figure out. I have been doing a manual install of the provider package distributed by GBIF on a Win 2000 server with IIS. Overall the instructions are fine, I get through it without any real problems, but for the life of me I cant get the test database to work properly. Testing a request from the eg_search.php page to my server and database yields the following response, the problem being an UNSUPPORTED_ACCESSPOINT. By looking at just the digir.php file I can see my resource listed and it has the appropriate record count listed, so I assume that its finding the database, but for some reason its not likeing the accesspoint. I have tried using other access points all with the same result. I have double checked the connection information, seems fine to me. Any other suggestions would be appreciated? One question I did have after going through the manual provider install was that the install program has you start a service, DiGIRProvider.exe, but the manual install doesn't mention this at all. Do I need to have that service running? Doesn't seem like you should need anything beyond PHP to send and parse an XML response, but don't know enough of how it works under the hood.
