I recently bought a copy of OS X and have been unable to get a DICT server up and running. When following the instructions included with dictd 1.5.5(the only version I could find, your FTP server isn't working correctly, both Internet Explorer and Anarchie are unable to parse the returned file listings) I get the following error: checking host system type... configure: error: can not guess host type; you must specify one How do I specify one? and what should I specify? If it isn't obvious already, I'm new to Unix systems. I also tried running jdictd and got the following error: The jar file "jdictd.jar" couldn't be launched. It probably doesn't contain a "Main-Class" definition in the manifest. To be able to launch this jar, you will need to add one. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks, Navdeep Bains |
