    Hello,
    Just installed product and get following error in log file:
    Dual Server Version 5.2 Windows Build 5.213

    [13-Mar-08 22:23:02] Starting DHCP Service
    [13-Mar-08 22:23:02] Starting DNS Service
    [13-Mar-08 22:23:02] Forwarding DNS Server: <valid address>
    [13-Mar-08 22:23:02] DHCP Range: 10.1.1.50-10.1.1.55/255.255.255.248
    [13-Mar-08 22:23:02] DNS Expiry: 360000 (sec)
    [13-Mar-08 22:23:02] Lease: 360000 (sec)

    [13-Mar-08 22:23:02] Logging: All

    [13-Mar-08 22:23:32] No Matching DHCP Range available for DHCP request from interface 10.1.1.2

    The only changes to .ini are the following;
    [LOGGING]
    All

    [DHCP-RANGE]
    DHCP_Range=10.1.1.50-10.1.1.55

    Also tried with the default dhcp range w/same type of error.
    Other information in log file is correct (domain, server name, address)
    Also tried a variant with these parameters;

    [DNS-ALLOWED-HOSTS]
    '1.0.0.1-255.255.255.254
    10.1.1.0-10.1.1.255

    [HOSTS]
    mpeg=10.1.1.2

    [DOMAIN-NAME]
    jimnet=10.1.1.in-addr.arpa

    [DHCP-RANGE]
    DHCP_Range=10.1.1.50-10.1.1.55
    Subnet_Mask=255.255.255.0

    and this is the log file from that restart.

      Hello Jim,

      Thanks for trying the Product.

      In first case, the subnetmask is automatically calculated based on IP Range, which is 255.255.255.248, this limits the subnet to 10.1.1.50-10.1.1.55, hence requesting interface 10.1.1.2 do not fall in this subnet and range is not selected.
      Solution: Please specify the subnet mask 255.255.255.0 along with range or in [DHCP-OPTIONS]

      In the second case you correctly specified the subnet along with range but there is error in zone. Zone octates have reverse order compared to range. Your zone should be 1.1.10.in-addr.arpa, which would cover your dhcp range.
      Solution: specify your [DOMAIN-NAME] as jimnet=1.1.10.in-addr.arpa.

      Thanks for your posting.

      Ok thanks for that.  Sad thing is I know dns well enough to know better. :)

      2nd problem.  Your readme says;
           3) Single host can have multiple IPs and single IP can have multiple hosts.

      My client has a wireless and wired interface.  I enabled wired interface and gets address correctly.  However, enabling wireless causes dualserver.exe process on server to go compute bound and never deliver an address.  I have to kill process to stop it and no info in log file.  Restart of process or reboot of server causes same symptom:  If I enabled my wireless interface first, dualserver goes compute bound.  I assume because it remembers an address was still assigned to original wired interface mac.

      So.... should this work?  My practical application is my laptop in my living room is normally connected via wireless, but since I also have a lan switch in that room, I like to connect it sometimes for high speed transfers.

      If that's not supported, can I assign a static address in dualserver for that client's wired interface mac address while still utilizing dhcp dynamic address for the wireless interface?

      Hope that makes sense.
      Regards,
      Jim

      Um, where would that be?  Your download section looks like it has the same version I already installed.
