Excuse me, but doesn't this notice show up when you report on https://sourceforge.net/p/dfu-util/tickets/new/ ?

Please provide this information in your bug report:

Computer environment: Operating system, architecture (arm/amd64/?), etc
Exact version of dfu-util: from distro? self-built? git revision?
Device: Brand/product, description if not well-known product

If on Windows: Which driver is installed for the device? WinUSB?

Show output with -l option
Show full command line used for download or upload
Show output with -v option added
If communication issue, attach (text file) output with -v -v -v version added
If file issue, information about file, check with dfu-suffix etc

All information like output from dfu-util must be copy-pasted or attached as text, only in very rare cases a screenshot (png) would be appropriate and please avoid photos. Do not touch Milestone/Status/Owner/Labels fields.
