I would say:
* Login / user managment
* A simple text chat
* A simple text editor with simple file management
* Run unit test framework and use result (for one language)
I absolutely agree. I would even reduce the scope to more minimum:
- no user management - 2 fixed users, no login
- the rest as you have suggested - s. the screenshot
It's no more unit testing as such. It's more. We need a way to specifiy a result of a task, and it would be the return value of the program executed remotely, or how do you see it? We would later need to specify further result parameters like size of the program, used programmatic things, execution time and so on.
I would suggest that the only language we can run right now is Scala since we do the platform in Scala :)

Question: what is the best NoSQL datastore or Scala right now? You know, for users, profiles, tasks and so on?
