I was able to reproduce (and fix) several bugs appearing at startup, particularly when dropping file(s) on the Dev-PHP icon - whether Dev-PHP is already running, or not.

I found some "Nightrain binaries" here: https://download.cnet.com/php-nightrain/3000-10248_4-76169308.html As far as I understand, Nightrain is not a compiler, it is only a PHP launcher. Dev-PHP embeds a small webserver (by default http://localhost:8887) and is also able to launch a PHP engine (see https://www.php.net/downloads.php or older versions https://www.php.net/releases/ ) Then enter the full pathname of the selected PHP engine into menu "Options", for exemple "C:\Program Files (x86)\Dev-PHP2..\PHP.737\php-cgi.exe"...

Sorry about that. I can’t reproduce this bug. It must be depending on a specific data context... May I suggest you uninstall Dev-PHP and install the latest full version (it comes with a mini "project": a tree-structure composed of two small files)?

While it is true the program no longer has an error message - the PHP script still does not show on the screen. Now, however, the file is not even showing up in the Files tab on the left. I'm trying to open a simple PHP script that only has "". I'm going to try making an HTML file with this in it. Made test.html. Although I can select the file - it is not loaded in to the editor. I found out, by trying various menu commands, that the File->Recently Used->[Pick a File] will now display the file. But...

Okay. I guess you’re talking about that nightrain https://github.com/kjellberg/nightrain I will try although it is a bit old - no update for 12 years... Could be quite difficult to integrate into "devphp"... without guarantee. In case... could you be so kind as to submit a feature request? Best regards

Ok. First - I think I might be able to do this without asking for a change but I thought I'd ask anyway. :-) Has there been any thought to making this development program run any code against NightTrain. The standalone compiler which will compile a PHP script so it can run on any OS. NightTrain is one of those programs that puts a browser, which runs HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP, together so you get a working program. Since Dev-PHP is a great editor - I thought - why not make it make standalone...

Hi Pierre You have acknowledged the issue back in August. I'm very disapointed in your reply. I have all respect that yo umay be busy, however, this issue is a fairly serious issue. But maybe it is that serious afterall in case there are only very few users. But I can't imagine that, because it is a very good working app.

Hi Pierre I downloded version 2.7.3.36 and noticed at: Options/General/Extra the ability to choose a tab-style. The options BUTTON and FLATBUTTONS seems to give arealy good distinct visibility of the active tab. However, clicking a tab moves the current tab to the most right position. Not what I expected and not handy either. Or is that not suppose to work like that? Thanks for any help.

Hi John C, There is a new version - Just an attempt to better distinguish the active tabsheet. We're using a "TPageControl" component and it has no "Color" property, only a "Style" property. Hope this could help. I'm trying to use a newer compiler - at the moment the project doesn't even compile.

Hi Pierre Thanks for your reply. It is not so much the ability to customize the background, but to have a more better contrast on the active tab. Hello John C, Well, this looks like a bug. Unfortunately, I won't be able to access to my development environment for several days - and a "simple" remote desktop is not enough to investigate/fix such a bug. Thanks for the attachments. To be continued.

Hi Pierre I do understand what you mean, however, I do have a contrast on my windows related tabs, but doesn't seem to be applied to my DevPHP presentation. See attached images below. Left is Windows Explorer and on the right DevPHP obviously with active tab "UNIX_EventBulkEmail.php" Not much contrast, is there? Looking forward to hearing from you. Happy new year! My previous answer probably lacked precision. Could you look at ms-windows desktop themes? Because Dev-PHP is based upon them.
