This email is to inform you about the release of version '1.04' of 'sg_utils' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/sg_utils/ The changes in this release are as follows: There are man pages for all utilities. Example programs have been archived. A CREDITS file has been added. sg_modes can now select sub pages and names pages for most peripheral types, sg_start can set imm, loej and power condition flags, sg_readcap can set pmi and lba flags, and sg_logs has a '-t' flag for displaying the temperature fetched from either log page that supplies it. Temperatures of 255C are displayed as 'not available' so users are not dismayed. Project description: The sg_utils package includes variants of the Unix dd command called sg_dd and sgp_dd that speed copies to, from, and between SCSI disks and CDROMs. sg_map and sg_scan supply information about SCSI devices and how they are related to other drivers. There are utilities for timing and testing SCSI devices and the SCSI bus. The sg3_utils package is for the Linux 2.4 series, while sg_utils is for the 2.2 series with some support for the 2.0 series.
