This email is to inform you about the release of version '2.01a14' of 'cdrtools' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/cdrecord/ The changes in this release are as follows: CDRWIN CUE sheets are now supported. A -abort option was added to reset drives that other burning programs have not released. The Plextor speedinfo SCSI command is now run in silent mode for old drives that do not support it. A problem in libscg that could cause garbage to be printed was fixed along with a bug in mkisofs that caused it to run in an endless loop if there was a '/../' in a symlink and Rock Ridge was used. Project description: cdrtools (formerly cdrecord) creates home-burned CDs with a CDR/CDRW recorder. It works as a burn engine for several applications. It supports CD recorders from many different vendors; all SCSI-3/mmc- and ATAPI/mmc-compliant drives should also work. Supported features include IDE/ATAPI, parallel port, and SCSI drives, audio CDs, data CDs, and mixed CDs, full multi-session support, CDRWs (rewritable), TAO, DAO, RAW, and human-readable error messages. cdrtools includes remote SCSI support and can access local or remote CD writers.
