This email is to inform you about the release of version '2.01a11' of 'cdrtools' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/cdrecord/ The changes in this release are as follows: In this version, grace time handling was restructured. There are massive changes needed for a MMC-3 framework to support DVD+RW and DVD+R, better error messages from main write loop, and warnings for the user if writing fails because of a non-blank preformatted media. A bug in multi-session handling indroduced recently with driver restructuring was fixed, the Plextor PowerRec speed info was moved past writing, and mkisofs now creates a XA "CD-XA001" signature in PVD with -XA or -xa. Project description: cdrtools (formerly cdrecord) creates home-burned CDs with a CDR/CDRW recorder. It works as a burn engine for several applications. It supports CD recorders from many different vendors; all SCSI-3/mmc- and ATAPI/mmc-compliant drives should also work. Supported features include IDE/ATAPI, parallel port, and SCSI drives, audio CDs, data CDs, and mixed CDs, full multi-session support, CDRWs (rewritable), TAO, DAO, RAW, and human-readable error messages. cdrtools includes remote SCSI support and can access local or remote CD writers.
