This email is to inform you about the release of version '2.01a07' of 'cdrtools' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/cdrecord/ The changes in this release are as follows: The program now tries to catch SIGHUP to avoid hung recorders after people close X11 by accident. The program also tries to print hints if the SCSI error looks like a buffer underrun. The first attempt to support QNX SCSI was implemented. A better SCSI adaptation layer was written for SCO Unixware. schckeck now tries to check if multiple scg_open() requests work. An initial (hacky) implementation of a way to meter the read speed for gnuplot was made. A Rock Ridge Bug in mkisofs was fixed. Project description: cdrtools (formerly cdrecord) creates home-burned CDs with a CDR/CDRW recorder. It works as a burn engine for several applications. It supports CD recorders from many different vendors; all SCSI-3/mmc- and ATAPI/mmc-compliant drives should also work. Supported features include IDE/ATAPI, parallel port, and SCSI drives, audio CDs, data CDs, and mixed CDs, full multi-session support, CDRWs (rewritable), TAO, DAO, RAW, and human-readable error messages. cdrtools includes remote SCSI support and can access local or remote CD writers.
