[Devil-linux-develop] [fmII] Postfix 2.0.0-20030105 released (Development branch)

[<no...@fr...>]

This email is to inform you of release '2.0.0-20030105' of 'Postfix'
through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found
at http://freshmeat.net/projects/postfix/

The changes in this release are as follows:
This release introduces the proxymap service for lookup table access.
This can be used to overcome chroot restrictions with a chrooted
Postfix SMTP server (specify proxy:unix:passwd.byname for password
file lookup through the proxymap server) and can be used to
consolidate the number of open tables by sharing one open table among
multiple processes (specify proxy:mysql:/file/name to avoid "too many
connections" conditions).

Project description:
Postfix is an attempt to provide an alternative to the widely-used
Sendmail program. Postfix attempts to be fast, easy to administer,
and hopefully secure, while at the same time being sendmail
compatible enough to not upset your users.
