This email is to inform you of release '3.0.2' of 'procps' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/procps/ The changes in this release are as follows: The top program was rewritten and now has color and windowing support. Linux kernels from 2.0.xx to 2.5.xx are supported, along with libc 5 or 6. The ps command is now twice as fast and has a new -F option, full SMP and real-time statistics, and a better output. Systems with lots of memory, User-mode Linux, SELinux, and large PIDs, UIDs, and uptimes are supported. The KOI8-R locale works, and a minimal.c is provided for embedded systems and boot disk designers. Project description: procps is a package of utilities which report on the state of the system, including the states of running processes, amount of memory available and currently-logged-in users.
