This email is to inform you of release '1.11a22' of 'cdrecord' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/cdrecord/ The changes in this release are as follows: This version includes libparanoia built from cdparanoia-III-9.8, and enhances the SCSI error texts. Libscg now features exception handling for synchronised aborts. Cdrecord can now shut down DAO recording if ^C is hit, and now works with notebook burners even when reading from stdin. Cdda2wav now uses getargs() for better option parsing, and some bugs with deemphasis and rounding in inf files were fixed. Mkisofs now allows one to use -sort with the boot catalog, and tries to avoid integer overflows with the -C option and DVDs. Project description: Cdrecord creates home-burned CDs with a CD-R/CD-RW recorder. It works as a burn engine for several applications. Cdrecord supports CD recorders from many different vendors; all SCSI-3/mmc and ATAPI/mmc compliant drives should also work. Supported features include IDE/ATAPI, parallel-port, and SCSI drives, audio CDs, data CDs, and mixed CDs, full multi-session support, CD-RWs (rewritable), TAO, DAO and human-readable error messages. Cdrecord includes remote SCSI support and can access local or remote CD-writers.
