Update of /cvsroot/devil-linux/build/scripts In directory sc8-pr-cvs1.sourceforge.net:/tmp/cvs-serv22177 Modified Files: Tag: rel-1-2-patches hostap-driver Log Message: >>Ok, I've just hit this error again and I recall what I did last time: The >>> > problem is an old depmod : >>> > root:/# /sbin/depmod -V >>> > depmod version 2.4.22 >>> > depmod: QM_MODULES: Function not implemented looks like hostap-driver is one (the only?) package that calls depmod at some place. the old depmod doesn't work when used on a 2.6 kernel host system, so it generates the QM_MODULES error. My patch removes all depmod calls from hostap-drivers Makefile. Seems to work, my router is just booting that image Roland Index: hostap-driver =================================================================== RCS file: /cvsroot/devil-linux/build/scripts/hostap-driver,v retrieving revision 1.4 retrieving revision 1.4.2.1 diff -u -d -r1.4 -r1.4.2.1 --- hostap-driver 26 Jan 2004 00:47:50 -0000 1.4 +++ hostap-driver 26 Jun 2004 13:49:28 -0000 1.4.2.1 @@ -33,6 +33,8 @@ case $1 in build ) if [ "$CONFIG_HOSTAP_DRIVER" = "y" ]; then + # disable depmod's , breaking compile on systems with newer kernel + sed -i 's%/sbin/depmod -ae%#/sbin/depmod -ae%' Makefile if [ "$CONFIG_PCMCIA_CS" = "y" ] && [ "$CONFIG_LINUX_VERSION" = "2.4" ]; then make pci plx pccard EXTRA_CFLAG="-DPRISM2_HOSTAPD -DCONFIG_HOSTAP_FIRMWARE" \ -e KERNEL_PATH=$KERNELDIR PCMCIA_PATH=$PCMCIADIR || exit 1 |
