[Devil-linux-develop] Meeting Tomorrow (TUE) , More Devil Linux, New TLS Role @ NYPC

[John v. V. <joh...@ya...>]

Hello,

I am hoping you come to the meeting Tuesday at 6:00

New Yorker Hotel
481 8th Avenue, corner of 34th Street
15th Floor, suite 1560. Office: 212-643-7005

We are winning !! We are working with the C++/Java sig to develop internet
services for the NYPC membership. This will be the hands-on workshop of the
Linux Society, making every one of us "vertically" certified in Linux. Our
skills will range from an enterprise operation to embedded systems.

This also means that the responsibility of saving NYPC from implosion will give
us management experince and better people skills. This will make NYPC an
organization worth belonging to.

I will be demonstrating more Devil Linux, showing how to use Logical Volumes
ans swap to run linux in a truly unique way, possibly the way of the future. I
will also create an ISO file from a full linux directory and then burn a
bootable CD.

Also, I have begun the task of integrating Debian from the Netdist disk. Not
as easy as it seems, modifications were necessary. But that is how we become
experts.

I very much want to get Sybase and/or Oracle running for more administrative
experience and to help w/ career paths.

Others will be presenting small topics at will....

Hoping to see you, John (prez) and Denny (founder)
