Dear freshmeat.net subscriber, kostecke just announced version 4.2.4p7-RC6 of NTP on freshmeat.net. The changes are as follows: This release candidate adds useful error messages if droproot capabilities are used when they are not available, makes --enable-linuxcaps the default. when available, and includes a fix for memory corruption on systems with a very large number of network interfaces. Project description: The Network Time Protocol (NTP) is used to synchronize the time of a computer client or server to another server or reference time source, such as a radio or satellite receiver or modem.
