[Devil-linux-develop] cvs not working?

Hi folks,

I just joined. This is my first time attempting to develop in a group like this.
I'm prolly missing something obvious to everyone else.

I tried running
cvs -d:pserver:ano...@de...:/cvsroot/devil-linux
login

& nothing happens after I hit return at the CVS password prompt until

cvs [login aborted]: connect to
devil-linux.cvs.sourceforge.net(66.35.250.92):2401 failed: Connection
timed out

I'm using
Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.12.13 (client/server)
under ubuntu 7.04 as a virtual machine hosted by gentoo.
(I wanted to mention gentoo, since ubuntu does not seem
like the OS of a developer.)

Please advise me.
