I am using DL v. 1.2.9, and I have a qwest DSL connection. There are no programs I am running that should be closing the connection. I don't have a local DNS server. I am using the default firewall options, and I don't know where to find the logs. I am quite new to devil linux. I have been using ubuntu linux with Firestarter firewall, but I wanted a more stripped down, firewall geared distribution. I will be sure and check the bios settings to see if anything there is powering it down. Thanks, for the replies. You need to give us a lot more information before we even can attempt to help you. Which DL version? What kind of Internet connection? Any programs running to open/close the connection ? (i.e. rp-ppoe) Do you have a local DNS Server ? Are you using any supplied firewall scripts? What's in the logs? - -- Regards Heiko Zuerker http://www.devil-linux.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkQf/0wACgkQUcytMSbs+YVXdwCfRTzTkQu9ZX4Mql8AMnwDwy7y AeAAn0RvCPfMpEPa2izMqDTFdkUk7mf+ =v5KR -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
