I noticed this behavior on a DL 1.2.8 box a while ago, and it turned out to be 
suspend settings in the BIOS. You might check there, make sure that your 
disks aren't being spun down and the PC put to sleep. You might also have the 
option in BIOS to set WOL (wake-on-lan) so your other boxen can wake the 
fiewall when they want out, and you can retain your suspend settings to 
conserve electricity.
