[Devil-Linux-discuss] internet connection goes "inactive"

I have my devil linux firewall setup, and seems to be working properly.  Thie issue, however, is that my internet connection seems to be active for only about ten minutes.  After that I have to do something like ping google.com or the like.  I have about 3 computers that share internet through the firewall.  After 10 minutes, I get a "Can't find server error", but after I do a ping from the firewall, all seems to be well again.  Why does the connection go out, and how can I fix this?
