Data Center Linux: Executive Summary / Technical Capabilities Version 1.0
(pdf)

The OSDL DCL Working Group captures, discusses, publishes and develops
Linux capabilities required by demanding, enterprise-class applications
such as high-end OLTP and Decision Support. The goal is to accelerate the
use of Linux in enterprise-class data centers. The DCL Technical
Capabilities v1.0 document is the work of current OSDL member companies
and interested individuals. Together with industry leaders and end-users,
the group identifies Linux capabilities and assembles them into a
prioritized list. Each of the capabilities listed within the broad range
in this document has been analyzed for applicability to Data Center Linux.
At a future date, the contributors intend to drive a specific requirements
document from this list of capabilities. (119 pages)
