[Devil-linux-develop] [fmII] Linux-VServer 1.20 released (Stable branch)

[<no...@fr...>]

This email is to inform you about the release of version '1.20' of
'Linux-VServer' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful
information can be found at

    http://freshmeat.net/projects/vserver/

The changes in this release are as follows:
Several minor bugs were fixed in dynamic context allocation,
switch_user_struct(), and compat_quota(). The new Syscall switch is
now active, structure allocation has been changed from vmalloc() to
kmalloc(), and several code cleanups were made. The vroot device is
now included, and signal to context as well as the userspace reboot
helper were added. Support for x86_64, PA-RISC, and PPC-64 should
work.

Project description:
Linux-VServer allows you to create virtual private servers and
security contexts which operate like a normal Linux server, but allow
many independent servers to be run simultaneously in one box at full
speed. All services, such as ssh, mail, Web, and databases, can be
started on such a VPS, without modification, just like on any real
server. Each virtual server has its own user account database and
root password and doesn't interfere with other virtual servers.
