Otherwise there is no security on the media. If that's the case, I don't see a need for more than one partition. Then I think the save-config script should remount the stick RW before saving (-oremount), and then remount it as RO when it's done. The user can manually change the switch on the stick to RW before running save-config, and switch the stick back to RO when done (just like a floppy). I've never actually tried this, and I'm hoping there isn't a problem changing the switch while the USB is plugged in. - BS |
