How about a file called /etc/lvtab in contrast to /etc/fstab where we specify the logical volumes name and their mountpoint. If a logical volumes name is not found there it's either not mounted at all or we could also default to mounting it at /var/lvname. /etc/lvmtab is already taken by the lvmtools, so I suggest /etc/lvtab Maybe any other better distinguishable names for this file? -- MfG / Regards Friedrich Lobenstock ____________________________________________________________________ Friedrich Lobenstock Linux Services Lobenstock URL: http://www.lsl.at/ Email: fl...@fl... ____________________________________________________________________ |
