Hello, I have tried to use freeradius on DL 1.2.13 but when I run radiusd -X, I have the following error: Module: Library search path is /usr/lib radiusd.conf[1546] Failed to link to module 'rlm_exec': rlm_exec.so: c= annot open shared object file: No such file or directory I have a DL 1.2.8 with freeradius working and the two following files are= present: /usr/lib/rlm_exec.so /usr/lib/rlm_exec-1.0.5.so Bu they are not present in DL 1.2.13. Can we correct it in the next release? Thanks Nouveau: le premier abonnement ADSL sans taxe mensuelle! Hey, yes there's still a problem in the 1.2.13 release. It's fixed in CVS and here's a version which should work: ftp://ftp.devil-linux.org/pub/devel/testing/ Let me know if this one has trouble too. So I'm running out of time to get my firewall working, (please see earlier threads referencing telnet clients etc...) I decided to try installing the current release of DL. Unfortunately, I seem to run into a snag I can't seem to get around. When I run the install-on-usb script, I choose syslinux, cramfs and set up a usb drive with 2 FAT16 (type 06) just as it asks for. Right after mkdosfs is called, the script tries to call: mount -t vfat .... Which fails with the error: mount: unknown filesystem type `msdos` It is important to note that if I run this command outside of the script, it works just fine. I've formatted the drive , zero'd the drive with dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda and created the partitions with cfdisk and fdisk with no improvement. Any suggestions? thanks, |

Postfix uses syslog. Syslog-NG on Devil-Linux is per default configured not to write a log file (since it would be in RAM), but only log to console 10. You can change the file /etc/syslog-ng/syslog-ng.conf to create a logfile instead (You'll have to bounce syslog). But a) either watch your RAM or b) log to a harddisk. I want to love it. :-( In case you don't know, a 'tar.bzip2' file is similar to a ZIP file in Windows. It contains multiple files compressed into a single file. Since these are Linux files, they need to be changed in Linux. (Text files differ slightly between Linux & Windows. In Windows all lines in a text file end a CR+LF. In Linux, all lines end only in a LF) When you run 'save-config' (or save your config from the 'setup' screen) it saves ALL the config files from your RAM to the tar.bzip2 file on the floppy. All you have to do is modify your config file(s), and run 'save-config', which saves everything (all of /etc and /root dirs). It would be helpful if you gave more details on what part of your config you're trying to change (and why). - BS |

Typical process runs like this: =20 1. backup your config (you've done this) 2. make your change on the linux box 3. test 4. remove write-protect tab on floppy (if it's on) 5. run save-config on the linux box which copies all your changes to the floppy 6. re-engage the write protect tab (if you undid it in step 4) 7. backup the new config (in case floppy fails) ------------------------------------- Moray McConnachie Head of IS +44 1865 261 600 Oxford Analytica http://www.oxan.com <http://www.oxan.com/>=20 =20 ________________________________ From: dev...@li... Now should I change the config on the floppy on the windows box or change it on the linux box. and if I change it on the DL box how do i get to the floppy drive? When I get to the floppy drive how do i change the file and does the save config command save it to the floppy? Hi All, I am new here and a novice with linux. I have a devil linux box running gshield for the firewall. We are adding a new location and I need to add the settings to the config file on the floppy. I have tried to figure it out and I am at a loss. I want to keep the old floppy and make a new one with the new changes so I can have a backup. I took the floppy and copied it on my windows machine. It is a tar.bzip2 file. How do I copy and make a new disk with the changes? I don't even know how to get to the floppy TO LOAD on the linux box. :-( PLEASE HELP! I just told my boss I needed a Watchguard box so I can manage it but I really do not want to do that. THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR HELP!!! |

> Could this be mixed with ajaxterm? > http://antony.lesuisse.org/qweb/trac/wiki/AjaxTerm I don't know why not. It appears that ajaxterm runs SSH, and anything that does a SSH to a DL box running the SSHjail will be restricted to the jail. - BS > http://www.linux.com/article.pl?sid=07/04/11/211209 > > I like this idea!
