With Friedrich on vacation, I'm helping Thomas Eder install telnet. The feature request says "telnet _client_". It doesn't mention anything about the telnet server. The telnet package contains both. Do we want/need the telnet _server_ (in.telnetd) on DL? Or client only? Personally, I'd leave off the server, since it's so insecure (plain text password sent over the network). Unless I hear otherwise, I'm only going to install the client. (it's an easy fix to the script to include the server if I'm wrong) - BS |
