Soma: Old software? What do you mean?

I just checked. 4.9.9.2 is the latest version isn't it?

Also, when I did offer a repeatable test case, I just seemed to get denigrated for that too. And no one seems to by trying to repeat this anyway! Just saying my code and terminology is dumb. I don't understand that.

"Old software? What do you mean?"

GCC 3.4.2 (Dev-C++ Master) is over three years old. There are fixes to GCC 3.4.2 that were probably not included in the MGW distribution of the GCC 3.4.2 binaries. Many parts of the compiler, including major components, has been completely redesigned for the new 4.x series. There have been hundreds, if not thousands, of fixes applied over the years. I mean, get a newer compiler.

"And no one seems to be trying to repeat this anyway!"

Actually, I tried, even though I know of an original fixed issue, to repeat it on GCC 3.4.2 (Dev-C++ Master), GCC 3.4.5 (MGW Official), GCC 4.2 (MGW Sandbox), GCC 4.3(GCC Official Snapshot) for the values: 3,000; 30,000; 300,000; and 3,000,000. The point is, I failed.
