What general graphics package would you recommend for a tutorial for beginning C (not CPP) programmer.
Drawing lines, circles.... and some text would suffice.
Am using TDM-GCC 4.6.1 32-bit

I, also a beginning programmer, have very good experiences with DevC++ 4.9.9.2 in combination with Allegro 4.2.
These are not the newest versions, but they proved to work good for me.

Why did you answer this? I do have trouble with DevC++,it is unlike
the MS one. Allegro I have not used. I cannot seek the original thread
right now... DevC++ NEEDS URGENTLY support and development. I suspect
you cannot program latest windows with it... unless it updates alone
which I have not verified yet.
