    he put toghether a nice page. There shouldn't be anyundefined classes. you need to install packages in vcl directory first

    Got it now. It was the stuff in the vcl subdirectory. Once I got it to build I changed the 'stay-on-top' attribute on the splash screen to make sure I could make a real change to the code. That is one of the more anoying things about the current version...

    T.B.Reina's page includes instructions to install a lot of wx stuff that is not needed just for Dev-C++. The Delphi 6 patches he links to are very useful however.

    I think I've pulled enough boners that you could point people trying to come up to speed as developers here as an example of what not to do. Between the information here and on T.B.Reina's page they should be able to locate everything they are going to need.

    Here are my instructions for obtaining and setting up Delphi 6 PE for building wx-devcpp. The GExperts and MadExcept tools aren't needed for dev-cpp, but they won't hurt either.

    delphi 8 is .net only. delphi 7 is upgrade from deplhi 6

      Ahha. I had an inkling something was fishy about it since it seemed none too popular...
