using svn2688, there are black dots appearing in every scene (see image as an example).
previously, tiny black speck may appear randomly in some scene and smaller quantity.
I think the bug here is that the rendering positions of the polygons on the ground are slightly inaccurate, so sometimes you can see through the tile corners to that crap underground. Edge marking makes it more visible when it happens, but it's a bug regardless of that.

Well, uh, it should look a little better now anyway (back to the way it looked before), but as I said I think it's still a bug if black dots appear here at all.

agree it is still a bug but it does not interfere with gameplay if it is a tiny dot in lesser amount.
just have to hope someone will fix it someday.
tested on svn2696 - regression fixed.

2017 and the programmers and testers required to clean up the mess after 100s of games are broken by re-engineering 1000s of lines of code required to fix the precision issues causing this still aren't here. If you want to see this fixed, use one of the newer emulators which have nothing to lose.

I can confirm, this actually works. The framerate loss wasn't too severe or noticable for me but that's probably because my PC is a bit overkill for this sort of thing. Although I still ocassionally see some black dots when I run around outside. Other than that they're basically gone.

OpenGL 3.2 fixed the black speck phenomenon but it made the top of every overworld sprite's head into a jagged mess. No amount of magnification filter can fix it but i'll have to go with this over the black specks.

cONFIG 3DSET REND OPENGL 3.2
every outdoor scene is affected (indoor scene is ok).
revert out edge marking and it is back to tiny speck dot with lesser amount visible.

Do you have one you recommend?
Why don't you use google and tell me what you come up with, and I'll chime in if I think you missed anything

Just downloaded desmume and Pokemone Plat, ran into this issue within minutes. Zeromus can you recommend any good emulators?
Most people just deal with it. It will be easier to deal with black specks than other more pernicious bugs in the other emulators.

Yeah I think I'll just deal with it. I've found myself often forgetting they're even there.

Go on Config - 3D settings - Renderer - OpenGL 3.2
Doing this fixed the issue for me, I heard this option reduces frames though

The OpenGL 3.2 fixed everything and the head thing didnt even occur :D. Thnx bud.
Not really fix. It's still there but less noticeable. If you inspect carefully you will definitely find it.
Indeed, it definitely hasn't been fixed.
