Not enough memory. Please restart the device and try again.
That's what appear when I go back to villa. I heard some other people in forum says they use R4 or M3 on a real DS also have this problem but it is solved when they have updated the kernel/firmware.
I wonder if DeSmuME needs some kind of kernel update as well?
P.s I have included the save state for your testing purposes. Just click on villa button and the error will appear after loading.

dont use desmume 0.9.10
I suspect the previous version also have this problem. I played this game on DeSmuME 0.9.7 last time and the error occured.
OK, nevermind I do the testing again just to double confirm with the official DeSmuME 0.9.9 x64 and the same error occured too.

Having the same problem. Is there anyone who is not having this problem? if there is,please post your savefile.
sounds like a real bug, then. i would expect everyone to have this problem, unless they skipped this scene in the game

How long does it take to get to this point from a fresh game?

I played for 51 minutes, however I think I had some cheats activated. Can't remember clearly, though. : )
Which version of desmume did you test on?
Not sure if this will help you guys but I found some patching code for a flashcart here for solving this issue.
Also I have included a new save state for DeSmuME 0.9.12.

Your save state crash the program in desmume 0.9.11 and 0.9.12
There is no official desmume 0.9.12, so this savestate is useless without knowing exactly hwich build it was made on
I just started playing that game in the Drastic DS emulator on Android and I have that problem too, I have changed the save file to Desmume, and the same error keeps appearing, I think the best thing is to get a save state that has finished that mission and load correctly.
Weird that drastic and desmume have the same problem with this game. Someone should figure out what's going on. Are we just guessing the wrong save size for it? I don't think woodrpg would need a patch for that...

It seems to me that this has to do with the RAM memory that both programs assign to the game, perhaps if it is possible to increase it, it could load the mission correctly, since precisely the error appears because of it. But since I don't know very well how both programs work, I think this will take a while or maybe I can't find a suitable solution. I'll try to find something...
That's really off track. You just rewrote the error message text. I doubt you can find anything. Out of memory would usually be called by something going off the rails for a completely unrelated reason. There not being enough memory (unless it's referring to save memory) is literally impossible.
Yes, in the end I did not find any solution. In fact I found the same game in the JAVA version on mobile, and I think it is the only way to finish it, it's in 2D but there is no more.
